Design: Federica Biasi

This glazed ceramic ashtray designed by Federica Biasi draws inspiration from ancient vessels once used to hold flowers and seeds — precious containers that, in Asian traditions, accompanied nomads through their journeys, protecting the seed of renewal.

With its smooth, rounded form, FB001 is conceived as a “non-object object”: an element that carries both energy and history, bridging ritual and function. The diagonal grooves on its lid recall the slow passage of time and the perpetual cycle of the seasons, evoking natural textures shaped by age and memory.

Inside, a simple indentation transforms an everyday gesture into a small ceremony — a reminder that even the most ordinary actions can be filled with meaning and beauty. More than a functional object, FB001 is a contemporary vessel that celebrates the connection between humanity and nature, between what endures and what evolves.
